Our co-founder Nevena grew up in Serbia, where rakia is a tradition passed through generations and every family distils their own.

Her father built his own distillation trailer, which neighbours would borrow each plum season.

Every bottle of Kafana is made from nothing but 12kg of locally sourced plums, that are fermented by the yeast on the plum skins, double distilled, and aged for 3 years in Oak barrels.
